Today we rode from the foothills of the Ozarks into the Mississippi River flood plain all the way to the levee.  After riding along the levee for most of the day we stumbled upon another coal operation.  The same coal trains we have seen picking up coal from the mines deliver it here, where giant earth movers load it onto conveyor belts which in turn load tons of coal onto giant barges bound for the Gulf port at New Orleans.
